Learn more. What can I deduct? What do I do with my receipts? Do I really need to pay quarterly taxes? What is a Schedule C? How do I deduct my home office/studio? Hannah Cole is a tax expert, artist, and small business owner who specializes in working with self-employed people, especially creative and mission-driven ones.
She will make taxes visual and understandable with a “tax pictionary” live drawing, and she’ll discuss the basic tax equation, how self employment tax impacts you, and show you how to pay your estimated quarterly taxes. A robust Q & A to follow, where you can bring your questions about audit concerns for the creative person, losses, the hobby/loss rule, business entity and formation questions (LLC, S Corp, etc) and other tax issues specifically relevant to creatives with solo businesses.
